hot take: what if I use Visual Studio Code for reading code and Emacs for writing code?

VS Code visualizes git diffs nicely. It has the IntelliSense stuff with the navigate to definition.

That being said, VS Code can choke on really large codebases. grep can work better in these cases.

When it comes to writing code, I just want something stupid simple. Emacs does the job. Plus, it's old school.

epic write code sprint.
